Elo Unveils New 1525L All-in-One Touchcomputer

Elo announces the new 1525L 15" LCD silent, fanless all-in-one touchcomputer. The space-saving 1525L touchcomputer combines a touchmonitor with a computer, all in the space of a standard monitor. The 1525L touchcomputer includes a choice of Elo's industry-leading IntelliTouch surface-wave or AccuTouch five-wire resistive touch technologies. Integrated options include a three-track Magnetic Stripe Reader (MSR) and a rear-facing customer display. The Microsoft Windows XP version of the 1525L touchcomputer includes a hard drive; the Windows CE .NET version has solid-state components without moving parts. Applications for the new all-in-one touchcomputer include POS, loyalty systems, kiosk information systems, bingo, casino management, and Internet access points such as those for Web surfing and hotel reservations.

New 1567L Industrial Touchmonitor with IP65 Sealing

The 1567L 15" panel mount touchmonitor comes equipped with Elo's industry-leading AccuTouch five-wire resistive touch technology (activated with fingernails, gloves, or any stylus), serial touch interface, and an IP65 sealed front bezel. All of Elo's chassis LCDs feature a long lasting product cycle, as the enclosure is controlled by Elo specifications. Future panel improvements are therefore possible without external changes.

Elo Expands Family of LCD Touchmonitors with Infrared Touch Technology

Elo has expanded its family of LCD touchmonitors that feature the company's CarrollTouch next-generation infrared touch technology, with the addition of enhanced versions of the company's popular Entuitive 1229L 12" LCD multifunction and 1525L 15" LCD desktop "designed for touch" touchmonitors. The new 1229L and 1525L touchmonitors with CarrollTouch infrared touch sensors are targeted toward a variety of applications in the retail, hospitality, medical, gaming and amusement markets, where customers will benefit from the increased brightness, clarity and durability of Elo's infrared touch technology.

iTouch CRTs Also Available in Open Frame Models

Elo's iTouch touch-on-tube CRTs are still the right choice for many applications as they deliver the ultimate in picture quality, at an optimal price. Elo's open-frame CRTs reduce or eliminate the need for redesign by providing a much longer model life than plastic case CRTs. With Elo's unique iTouch technology, there is no touch overlay, so your application will have the best picture quality and vandal resistance possible on a touch CRT. A final benefit is the watertight sealed bezel that stays in place when the cabinet front is opened. Sizes range from 15" to 21". The 1988C 19" true flat tube model offers a picture that looks better than a large LCD but at about half the price!

New "Super Flat Profile" IntelliTouch Surface Wave Components

Elo was the first in the world to introduce pure glass touchscreen technology for superior optics, reliability, and stability. Now Elo makes another step forward with its recently patented grating technology. These IntelliTouch touchscreens have the sensing transducers mounted on the back of the glass, making integration much easier. The IntelliTouch SFP touchscreens also have a new border design and cabling system that minimize the overall outside dimensions even further. Proven pure glass surface wave technology just got better.

Small Kiosks... Big Business?

Mike Sigona, Elo's market manager, talks about mini kiosks, a compact solution to the rising cost of doing business in the retail market. Placed at the point of display (POD), mini kiosks promise to be an effective way for retailers to maximize valuable floor space and capture potential sales.

An Independent Study Reveals How Young People See Touch in the Future

Young American adults increasingly favor touchscreen technology says the "In Touch Survey." Nearly 90% of young Americans ages 18-34 believe touchscreens will become the standard service industry medium in the next few years.
